Right-wing justices on the Supreme Court have sanctioned racial profiling when targeting law-abiding immigrant communities.

Shame on these extremists.

They have zero credibility.

Democrats were right to drag out Trump’s nominees and make life hard for their GOP counterparts. That’s the necessary work of the opposition party. Each and every day, Senate Democrats should wake up and think of new ways to frustrate Trump’s authoritarian power consolidation.

What makes DC’s ordeal this week even worse?

Trump is using DC as a stage and DC residents as props in a political play to distract from his Epstein problem.

This is unacceptable.

The CR was a debacle from top to bottom. Indivisible talked to our group leaders today about what to do next.

The terrible CR Budget bill — written by right-wing House Republicans with no input from anybody but themselves — was passed tonight with the support of 10 Democrats.

An absolute failure of Democratic leadership. NOBODY in the Senate should have voted for this dangerous bill.

Democrats are saying no votes unless the bill includes safeguards against Musk’s illegal & unconstitutional behavior. Republicans are rejecting that, but we need Democrats to hold the line. Make sure they hear from you.

Cannot stress Amy's second point enough. It's both morally wrong and unbelievably dangerous for Jews to allow ourselves to be used as the wedge to overturn basic civil liberties in this country.
As far as I can tell, Khalil has still not been charged & his attorney/family still don’t know where he is.

Any Jew who thinks this is going to start and stop with a few Palestinian activists is fooling themselves. Our community should not be used as an excuse to upend democracy & the rule of law.
The Trump admin is exploiting real concerns about antisemitism to undercut democracy: from gutting education funding to deporting students to attacking diversity, equity, & inclusion.

As we’ve repeatedly said: this makes Jews - & so many others - less safe.

Intermittent reminder that 'AI' is a broad name for a huge range of technologies, some of which are really useful and have no negative effects, some of which are pretty useless and/or based on plagiarism. The existence of one doesn't negate the existence of the other.

At Cabaret yesterday, Cliff said his line “…if you’re not against all this then you’re for it. Or you might as well be”. The audience interrupted the scene to applaud that line so strongly it stopped the show. Doing a show about the onset of fascism right now is. . . chilling.

Here is what Democrats can do:

-we live in a crisis-driven media ecosystem
-a sense of crisis results in diffuse public attention - normally spread across many communication channels - focusing on a single problem, bringing massive pressure to bear
-Dems can help create a sense of crisis

This NYT sleight-of-hand is part of why Trump’s insane racism flourishes. The implication is that it’s possible to “attack diversity” WITHOUT a “racist undercurrent.”

And it “surfaces” - as though Trump hasn’t been a rabid and explicit racist for years, and this is some new tone.
