don’t be shy. repost this too! yall should be spreading information. hold your friends accountable. educate your family. be loud and upset. our passive quality as a society is literally making the worse people in the world more powerful and richer. wake the fuck up
In a world where sadly your dollar is an endorsement, i really will be side eyeing everyone who posts their Spotify wrapped this year. Your dollar is being used to pay for AI warfare actively killing people. Your dollar makes them feel comfortable with running ICE ads. Cancel that shit already.

A friend with a new baby asked guests to mask in order to hold her baby. A relative refused to mask & broke down in tears about her "restrictions"

As a reminder, babies <6 months have the 2nd highest hospitalization rate from Covid after adults 75+ & are too young to be vaxxed

I have been informed
that today
is a day for giving
and in that spirit
if you would like
to do something
to show you give a damn:
you can wear a mask,
and if you
really do give a damn
you can keep wearing it
even on the days
that are not
specifically for giving.

I am thankful.
Truly, I am thankful,
to have survived
the pandemic
long enough
to reach this day.
And though
I am thankful,
(truly, I am thankful)
I understand
that having survived
the pandemic
long enough
to reach this day
does not yet mean
that I have survived
the pandemic.

Listen: be realistic!
You should not expect
people to cancel gatherings.
You should not expect
people to gather cautiously.
You must be realistic,
what you should expect
is in a week’s time
to hear many people saying
for some reason
they are now feeling unwell.

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

People need to understand how deeply eugenicist this is.

They’re insinuating that if you “take care of yourself” you will be healthy and should get affordable healthcare.

Disabled people can’t “healthy living” their way out of being disabled.

It’s not a moral failing.

We need healthcare too
Markwayne Mullin on healthcare: "What the president would like to do is say, hey, if you take care of yourself -- you don't smoke, you don't dip, you're not drinking, you're not overweight, you're working out -- then you should pay less than the guy that obviously is not taking care of himself."

I hope that you
will take care
and not travel at all.

Mohammed has a super detailed chuffed that is a very good read if you’re interested at all about life in Gaza- he also has done a thread in the post I’m quoting ⬇️ about his family history that is very interesting
I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Mohammed. Mohammed is 22 and was studying electrical engineering (you can read about his family in the 🧵 ). He’s trying to help his family including his pregnant sister Rasha and his 4 year old nephew Khamis who started kindergarten yesterday!

A friend told me he knows
he should wear a mask,
but he keeps asking me
“don’t you find wearing it
to be kind of depressing?”
and though I wanted to say
that what I find depressing
are seeing those who know
they should mask
refusing to do so,
but instead I just said:
no, I don’t.

Remember:
when they ask
“People who rarely get sick,
what’s your secret?”
they do not want to hear
about the kind of mask you wear,
the activities you refrain from,
or the precautions you take,
they want to know your secret
because they can’t imagine
doing what they know you do.

Whenever I read studies
with findings such as:
“Alzheimer Disease Patients
Who Survived COVID-19
Have Rapid Disease Progression
and a Higher Risk of Death
at 5-year Follow-up,”
I am reminded
that none of us have truly
“Survived COVID-19,”
we are still just trying to survive it.

This is a pretty frivolous question
but are there any fellow #COVID-cautious #evermaskers who’ve risked getting tattoos in the past few years? A new tatt would really boost my morale. Naturally I’d wear an N95 (and ask the tattooist to do likewise) bring my air filters and pick a quiet time of day.
