The whole thing is making me angry and sad. My work is on LibGen but bc it’s not registered in the US it’s not included on the Anthropic database. So there’s no chance of even a tiny bit of justice for so many writers. The pirates started it; the AI bots and their techbros are dining out on it.

It’s so ironic.
People pirated shit selfishly. All these years. We creatives have endured excuse after excuse for doing it. Writing cease and desist letters; it was like playing whack a mole. And that pirating is what allowed these AI companies to do even worse. Great job, people. Thanks.

Being accountable to an international court means our Government has to answer to them if it tries to undermine your human rights. Be very suspicious of any UK politician who wants to remove that check on their powers.

I grew up on this film and can still recite the "Behold the sword of power" speech. It's got that weird drugged-dream-like quality that's by turns beautiful and dark & bloody, which I think fits the legends *perfectly*. (and why I love The Green Knight, too)
