Let's face it, the fact that a bloke was arrested for wearing a "Plasticine Action" T-shirt a few weeks back probably answers your question. The irony is that mass on-the-spot arrests are only feasible because the crowd is essentially peaceful and non-violent.

It started with “illegal migrants.”

Take a breath. Look behind the hostile headlines. What this government is on the verge of doing is to expand this one-in-one-out deal into, essentially, a safe and legal route from France. It is - and has always been - the only solution to dangerous crossings and what has been needed for years.
