Did you know the Gates Foundation has 'donated' well over $1 billion to government agencies--NIH, CDC, FDA, USAID, USDA, and government ministries in nearly two dozen countries.
Why are we allowing oligarchs to buy govt influence like this?

Congress investigates Gates Foundation
A few weeks ago, I published a story showing that Gates's financial ties to China were a major political liability under Trump. Now Congress is investigating this very issue

Africa has a wealth of indigenous chicken diversity, but it's under threat from corporate takeover. Gates Foundation and others are replacing local breeds with “more productive” hybrids, owned by 3 companies in the US and Europe. Time to fight back! grain.org/e/7317 @timschwab.bsky.social

My new investigation finds that the (George) Clooney Foundation for Justice is giving humanitarian awards---to its own billionaire benefactors.

Is "justice" now a quid-pro-quo currency of the oligarch class? A hastag for the NYT Style section?

Melinda Gates is now collecting humanitarian honors from organizations she funds----while remaining silent on the most visible humanitarian issue in the world, the genocide in Gaza.

The contradiction has not been lost in South Africa. Read on:

Blood money---that's the best term to describe Bill Gates's billion-dollar investment in Trump's anti-immigration agenda.

The debate is no longer whether Gates is an oligarch. It's whether he is also a fascist sympathizer.

Check out my. newest:

In Trump's assault on immigrants, Bill Gates eyes big profits
Gates's massive investment in a company executing Trump's anti-immigrant policies should sharpen the public debate around oligarchy---and fascism.

Strange to see so many journalists puzzling over Trump's decision to center Bill Gates at his recent oligarch round table, seating him next to Melania.

The explanation is pretty simple and obvious: Gates is the original tech-bro oligarch. He has earned his seat

Melania spotted grimacing at Bill Gates during tech guru summit
Melania Trump was spotted looking upset while Bill Gates was speaking during the president's dinner with tech CEOs this week. It's a stark contrast with how she's treated Elon Musk.

Gates's recent public boot-licking of Trump is only his most recent confession. He's not a humanitarian. He's just another oligarch who has no problem partnering with whatever monster holds power.

Why do so many legacy liberal outlets insist the opposite is true?

Why has the Gates Foundation been so generous to China ($600m)--to a country that doesn't seem especially in need of philanthropy?

And why is Gates's giving suddenly slowing down? My guess is Trump.

My newest investigation is up! As the 'Epstein files' dominate headlines, why aren't we talking about Bill Gates?

The real lesson we should take from Jeffrey Epstein is about how extreme wealth undermines our democracy--and our humanity.

timschwab.substack.com/p/is-bill-ga...
Is Bill Gates in the Epstein files? Probably
It's time to review the many troubling revelations that have emerged around Gates's hard-to-explain association with Epstein. And it's time to talk about toxic philanthropy

One reason we have so many oligarchs is b/c journalists have failed to confront extreme wealth----b/c they work in newsrooms controlled by billionaires.

A great case study, and the focus of my newest investigation, is Bloomberg.

It's time to confront oligarch media
As Bloomberg's Billionaire Index mysteriously erases $150 billion from its oligarch ledger, we are once again confronted with the perils of billionaire influence over journalism.

Too much he-said/she-said in this piece, which ends w/ fallacy: Gates either gives money to philanthropy (good) or buys super yachts (bad).

What about abolishing billionaires?

I'm a critic of both GAVI & RFK Jr. Suddenly ending GAVI overnight will cause a lot of damage, but just b/c millions of people around the globe depend on this deeply unaccountable group for vaccine access is not a reason for it to exist ad infinitum.
