This is the most thrilling podcast I’ve listened to in quite a while: we are in the threshold of something truly transformative (in a good way!)
Today on Volts: Swedish tech entrepreneur Jonas Birgersson was once known in his country as "broadband Jesus" for his efforts in spreading decentralized, low-cost broadband access. Now, he wants to bring the same decentralized, peer-to-peer revolution to the electricity grid.
Making the electricity grid work like the internet
Jonas Birgersson joins me to explain how "packet-switching" for electrons can lead to energy abundance and grid resilience.

"“They specifically asked me if I knew where the Hmong families lived on my street & in the neighborhood.” Lugert-Thom responded, “I don’t know anything about that” & she said they then asked, “Well, what about the Asian families?”"

"“I was a bit shaken & a bit shocked of what I was asked to do.”"
A St. Paul resident says federal officers knocked on her door and asked her to identify Hmong and Asian households in her North End neighborhood last week.

Maybe I'm a big dumb dumb, but everything else aside, if you shoot and kill the person driving a car towards you, isn't the car going to keep going towards you with no possibility of breaking or swerving? Like, that's exactly what happened after Ross shot Good.

So, if I'm reading this right:

4 prosecutors at the Dept of Justice Civil Rights division quit because the Trump-appointed leadership won't investigate Good's killer,

and

6 from the Minnesota US Attorney's office quit when they were told instead to investigate her widow.

Don't bother arguing about whether ICE is a police force or a military force. It's neither. It behaves as a disorganized, violent mob, cursing, shouting contradictory orders, and attacking unarmed citizens on a whim. It is deployed to create fear and chaos, not to enforce laws or establish order.

Gonna repeat again it is very important for people to maintain distinction bt ICE & CBP.

That's bc CBP's Greg Bovino takes orders directly from the White House. Jonathan Ross is ICE but Bovino was present.

Bovino involved in MANY of worst incidents.

Congress should pass a law requiring agents to show their faces, identify themselves, & wear their badges. It’s not agent safety we have to worry about these days.

End so-called Kavanaugh stops & admin warrant-based forced entry into homes too. Let’s have a Constitution.
