I think a real danger is that advertising, which we already see too much of, just becomes this slop and you just become inured to it. All good stuff though, can't wait!

I include myself in that tbc, I don't know that I'd have taken the time to look for the tells in a lot of those images if I didn't know I was looking for real vs AI.
tinydonkey.bsky.social
Based on my understanding of how the image generation works, I think it'll be a long time before it gets that much better. And it'll probably be prohibitively expensive to do so. It's good enough now to fool *a lot of people* though which might be enough.

After reading further it's a foreign property group, not one person, which does not make it any better, but like, how are the government, in the midst of a housing crisis, allowing investors from other countries buy up whole communities and ruin lives en masse like this?

Hmm this landlord that owns 14 houses is evicting his tenants. Guess he needs another tax break, obviously he doesn't feel secure enough 🙄

Whenever Godot's not on stage, all the other characters should be singing, "Where's Godot?"

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

obviously there's a lot of problems with child labor, but it's too valuable for big business for it to ever go away, so you need to embrace it early or your kids' resumes will be left in the dust

So is it the position of the 'paper of record'?

That the cab-rank rule is bad?

And that Deputy Connolly should have ignored it?

And risked disciplining from Bar Council for breach of professional ethical obligations?

I've a friend who shifted Ryan Tubridy in the 90s and I texted her "your boyfriend is on the telly again" everytime I saw the Late Late for years. Years!

Niall Donald talking about how Jim Gavin ripped him off included the truest, most Irish statement I’ve ever heard in my life, like this absolutely would be what your friends would say to you in these circumstances

Cab rank rule should be taught in journalism schools. Along with a big module on units and dimensional analysis.

Is there a barrel bottom that hasn’t been scraped yet in the determined drive to attack the character and professionalism of the Left candidate who’s doing well in polls? Of course Catherine Connolly BL acted for clients on a normal disinterested basis!

Presidential election candidate says she was ‘obliged as a lawyer to act on behalf of variety of clients’

If she hadn't represented them they'd be saying she can't trust herself to be unbiased.

They vary, there's few black bean burgers I've met that I didn't like
tinydonkey.bsky.social
Buffalo wings, nuggets, potato scallops. They're opening up a serious can of worms here for absolutely no one's benefit. It will not change meat sales one bit.

What about mince? Tofu mince seems to not be a concern to them. This is stupid bullshit. I don't think you should be able to sell a tofu burger as a beef burger, but no-one is doing that. Even the beyond ones that try to mimic beef are very upfront about them being veggie, it's their selling point!

Show me on the animal where the "sausage" is located, please. Sausages are *famously* a laboratory art.
Imart, who is also a cereals farmer in north-west France, said: “A steak, an escalope or a sausage are products from our livestock, not laboratory art nor plant products. There is a need for transparency and clarity for the consumer and recognition for the work of our farmers.”

Chicken burger? Can we call a chicken burger a chicken burger? Like it's not a "burger". Milk is historically not only animal milk,I think Chaucer talks about nut milks. They're on very shaky ground with this.
