The fans don’t seem to be blaming Klieman. The fan base is united against Wells plus Dylan Edwards was nightmare in the locker room.

Klieman will be back. I don’t think Matt Wells will be though.

Also I think Elizabeth would have to acknowledge that her family and friends down in Alabama are racists. Easier to blame elitism from Liberals than to acknowledge that.

I also think a lot of it is she still hates Democrats and Liberals from her Republican and Evangelical childhood. Also, it is hard for her to admit it is racism because she would have to acknowledge that her Republican parents, relatives, and her childhood friends are racists.

I think Elizabeth Spiers sincerely believes that Republicans ratfucking and gerrymandering is responsible for the South voting Republican. She couldn’t possibly admit that it is racism that motivates Southern Whites to vote Republican.

Not to be whatever about it but I do think there’s a Southern Archetype of person that grew up around people who hate liberals for Republican reasons that have a hard time shaking that as a left wing adult. I’m not saying that’s what’s happening here but it’s not uncommon.

Spiers has been a roll lately where she is trying to get people back on track by yelling at the DNC, Democrats, Liberals, etc, etc. She is doing this because she wants her audience to quit screaming at her about her employer (the NYT)
