Most women I interviewed didn’t say their abortions were a “choice,” but a complex balancing act involving several factors. They had abortions to make the rent, to escape abusive relationships, & to better care for the kids they already had. Stories matter - they teach us to outgrow our assumptions.

Here's some anti-trans bullshit from RFK and HHS.

The fervor with which these feckless fucks are targeting 1% of the population is deranged.

We spent a good amount of time in our department meeting yesterday discussing what to do if/when ICE raids one of our classrooms.

“On President Donald Trump’s second day in office, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security rescinded protections for ‘sensitive areas,’ like churches, hospitals, schools and college campuses, where immigration enforcement actions previously couldn’t take place.”
Campuses no longer off-limits to ICE
The Trump administration cleared the way for immigration enforcement officers to take action on campuses, sowing fear among undocumented students. Higher ed leaders are struggling with how to respond.

Well, we knew they would blame the plane crash on DEI, and Trump's sycophants will just nod their heads even though it is a nonsensical claim. I don't know how Republicans live with themselves. I really don't. And frankly, most of those Democrats, too, as they put up no resistance.

Everyone should be aware of the line that has been crossed in the Trump trans military EO.

No longer is this about "evidence," "science" or "protecting kids."

Now, explicitly, black and white, it's about trans people being "liars," "dishonorable," "false."

It's a big step towards very bad things.

The Trump administration’s decision to reimpose the global gag rule coerces groups abroad to give up their right to engage in truthful speech and provide life-saving information about abortion.
Over 287,000 women die each year from preventable, pregnancy-related causes. President Trump’s decision to reinstate the global gag rule risks the lives of even more women, girls, young people and LGBTQ+ communities over the world, especially in areas that need lifesaving health services the most.
