I get irrationally annoyed at how @fredschneideriii.bsky.social never finishes his thought at the beginning of one his biggest hits. Just what am I supposed to do if I see a faded sign at the side of the road that says fifteen miles to the Love Shack? What THEN? Don't leave me hanging.

I've been rereading my trilogy lately, and I just discovered a cross-volume continuity error that somehow made its way through four drafts and multiple beta readers. Dammit. I don't know if I'll ever have the time or stamina to make a second edition, but things like this make me want to. #writing

I really wish @bsky.app would implement the ability to turn off reposts for individual users, not just across the board. There are plenty of interesting people on here I'd like to follow (or follow back), but I can't because they repost way too much. I would if I could mute their reposts.

These are my three and the wisdom I gained from them, more or less in order: Question everything with defiance and cleverness. Embrace science and truth as you learn your place in the universe. And it's still okay to enjoy the fantastic, scary, and silly stories that people can create.

The Hunter pardon and the (fake) handwringing on the right got me thinking along probably the same lines as a lot of people: The orange rectum-faced guy is going to pardon the J6 protestors, so shut up.
But I wonder: Will he really? He doesn't care about anyone but his rich friends.

Still getting things set up on here, finding old friends and people who bailed on Xitter (pronounced "shitter") ages ago because of all the right-wing bullshit. I toughed it out for a while, but recent events were the breaking point.

Can you edit posts? I know that Xitter doesn't allow that, but some of the other alternatives do. Either I'm doing something wrong and don't see the option, or it's just not a thing.
