Had a great internal playtest for Starfinder Starship Combat today. Fought against three Azlanti Starships. Partway through the fight, we had them depositing Aeon Guard onto our starship via breaching pods to deal with. Cannot wait to share more of this.

Youtubers out there, go into your channel settings, "Upload Defaults", "Advanced Settings".

As of this month, "Automatic AI Dubbing" is on by default unless you manually disable it. This scrubs your voice and generates an AI voice.

I could see long sought after goals nearing fruition. Taking over the mortgage entirely so that my partner could build our savings. Moving from video engineering to directing live event broadcasts. Maybe even taking a short vacation, a word that has nearly lost all meaning to many Americans. I looked forward to joining thousands in the streets to protest the Harris administration, after her surefire win, on their complicity in the genocide in Gaza and the occupation of Palestine. Such a weird thing to look forward to, I know. On the night of November 5th, I had just wrapped up the final day of a big event. Trying to stay focused, I wasn't looking at the results that were starting to be announced. After we loaded our equipment into trucks, 1 grabbed my laptop and backpack, exiting the building. Across the street and around the corner, an Italian restaurant known for their late night happy hour was the only place open to eat. I sat down at the bar next to an older lady. She was wearing a pink floral jacket and ordering oysters. I asked the bartender for a beer. I think it was a local Pilsner. The woman asked if I had tried cold oysters before and used experienced manipulation to convince me to try one. She laughed as I gagged, struggling to swallow it. Whoever decided that raw, cold, saltwater slime from a shell was something to be eaten must have played a cruel joke on someone that, unfortunately, lasted centuries. Finally, cold glass in hand, sipping on my crisp beer, I unlocked my phone. The bartender had joined our light conversation, poking a little fun at my reaction to the abomination of an appetizer. I said, "Well, I haven't looked yet, but I have to check." Our little conversation went quiet. The bartender grabbed a bottle of mezcal from the shelf and poured half a glass. The blood drained from my face as I saw the current results. "There's no way this is right," I told myself. "There are still votes coming in, I'm sure this is like last time. The mail in ballots would turn the tide." I kept looking through for some glimmer of hope, but it wasn't looking good at all. The bartender, already knowing what I was feeling, set the glass in front of me. "Want to try our mezcal?" If that was a taster, I can't imagine how massive a shot would be. The mood had shifted, but we continued to make small talk. It was no longer silly and refreshing, but instead, had turned into glum musings and failed attempts at reassuring each other. I finished my appetizer and took a final sip of tequila. As worn down as I felt, I couldn't bring myself to finish it. Solemnly, yet trying to keep a cheery attitude in my voice, I thanked them for the conversation and went back to my hotel. The bed called to me immediately and I skipped my usual post show self care routine. At 3:30 or 4:00 in the morning, I woke with a start. A sinking feeling in my stomach. I closed my eyes, willing myself back to sleep, but it was to no avail. I had to look. I had to calm my worries and see that everything had changed while I slept. Opening Google, I searched: "election results." He had won. Everything would change. After trying for another hour to get a little more sleep, I gave up and packed the car to start my drive home. Feeling nearly emotionless, I pulled out the keys to our home and unlocked the door. My partner was standing in the living room. Her eyes were red and I could feel the underlying sadness in the room with us. The ghost of our dreams for the future floating in the air. We didn't speak. Not a single word. I approached and held her tightly for several minutes while we both cried. By December, shows started canceling. The shows that did go on had entire days devoted to talks on Al taking away jobs and careers once considered to be a stable safe bet. CEOs spoke, practically worshipping the new technology, and the working class speakers gave dire warnings of the repercussions.
