Melania's been making a lot of appearances lately, almost like she knows it won't be long and she's just putting in that extra effort to make sure she stays in that will.

I asked a guy I know that at one point was lettering 20% of DC's books and he said "I've never even used graphic styles" so he was no help.

After yesterday's Lettering Stack™ I kinda wanted to just pile up all my sound effects just to see how the pile looks, annnnd I like it.

I pulled together all my Marvel spec pages for a lettering stack! ...It's all spec work because I'm having the damnedest time getting noticed. But my mom says I'm very good.

I liked Frankenstein but mannn I wish I could figure out what it is about GDT's style that leaves me cold because on paper it's got that rich, velvety gothic victorian vibe I always say I want more of.
Whatever, I dug it. I mostly wish the creature design matched Wrightson's a bit more #TeamNoNose

I did an open call looking for a comic penciler today and I would like to report to you all, exhausted and haunted as I am, that the applicants are 70% scammers, 25% amateurs that didn't read the brief and 5% artists with actual portfolios.

Drew Struzan has died at 78. The guy that painted (almost) all of your favorite movie posters. Indiana Jones, ET, Shawshank, The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, Star Wars, Muppets, a Black Sabbath album cover, etc.

Saw SLAYER in Hershey park yesterday. Super disappointed that the guy in the nazi shirt that did the salute seemed to still have all his teeth by the end of the set.
I mean I didn’t do anything either- I’m not a tough guy- but holy shit, this reflects so poorly on metalheads.

Taking a road trip down to PA to see a live metal show for the first time in forever this weekend. Slayer, Exodus, Cavalera and Power Trip. Hot damn.
