We have some seriously strong players here (shoutout to SI Anik, 2x South Asia CPT qualifier!), but they don't have a spot to consistently train and grind. It's tough to build a scene without a home base.

It really sucks liking discord fighters when social anxiety kicks my ass so hard I can only really talk to my friends most days. Doubly so when none of said friends have time or desire to play said game when I try to organize a day to play and teach people the game, so nobody shows up. 😕

I wrote about this a few days ago and deleted it, but maybe it's valuable to point out. Being able to work less than other people because of ADHD and depression really makes me feel inadequate sometimes and maybe it would be less bad if some jobs were more inclusive to that

Okay, now we're near the end of September, update on this:
While I have made SIGNIFICANT progress, this game still isn't quite ready for that playable alpha I was aiming for. I'll be taking another month and we'll see how that goes.

Excited to share that, by the barest definition of the word, we finally have Gameplay. It's janky and needs work, but two characters can move around (even more than shown), block attacks, get hit, and "die" (disable their input). Still hard to believe it honestly x.x

on the plus side, the recent news is motivating me to try and fight my social anxiety long enough to at least try and go to an offline local. I know there's at least one decent sized one but I've always been too anxious and scared to go. We'll see if it works out this time. x.x

My partner and I (2/4th of SNW) are both trans and attempting to leave the US (I’m also an Arab immigrant). It’s extremely expensive, so please consider buying our game/leaving it a review so that we have some sort of income when we inevitably have to make the jump and start over. Thank you.
