Well, the probability of such a landslide is difficult to estimate, given that it's probability in time and space. But such events are not uncommon. It needs to be sufficiently large (here, a max. landslide depth of 150 m) to displace water that finally overtops.

Ok, next level. Simulating a landslide hitting a proglacial lake, producing a #GLOF. Note that the flood is (not yet) able to erode but just spills through two channels. In reality, the displacement wave would probably incise and widen the outflow channels, triggering a more severe flood downstream.

#TopoToolbox has a scale bar that you can add to some axes. Now, the scale bar also works with axes that represent geographical coordinates. Nice to see how the length of the scale bar changes once you pan northward.
