Totally get that, Katie and I have discussed at length how important “writing for the sake of writing is” but judging by the state of my inbox a lot of people seem to want to skip that and get paid.

My difficulties with sleep stretched back to childhood, when I would put on a movie to pass the time – until I watched the children’s animated film and it made me drop off straight away

I also found your professionalisation of beer blogging comment interesting (mea culpa) but thought you might be interested to know I get a lot of pitches from new or even first time writers and usually turn them down, encouraging them to start a blog or newsletter. Most never do.
