If any democrats in congress vote for a CR that includes funding for ICE, I will do everything I can to see them replaced. We have to stand up now or we are lost.

Because it hadn’t ever happened before. We are early adopters of democracy and like early adopters in many fields, we find our form of democracy is not as safe as we thought, and perhaps we could learn from other democratic forms that have been destroyed after we formed our more perfect union
They assumed that Congress, the Executive and the Judiciary would see themselves as factions, thus "ambition will counteract ambition." It didn't occur to them that parties would vie to control all three in order to cooperate. I don't have any idea why.

Did EU,UK,Australia, and Canada announce coordinated sanctions against Trump- related individuals? This has been confidently reported by the SignalVerse YouTube channel, but I can’t find any thing about it anywhere else.

Thank you. Due process is the cornerstone of a nation governed by the rule of law. It is not some “technicality” that can be tossed aside by the whims of a president because he sees the accused person as a “bad guy.”

Executive orders are not mentioned in the constitution. I suspect the founders would not have liked them (under the constitution the President executes laws but does not make them).

I think this implies a level of control we do not have
It does increasingly seem like we are unintentionally running various experiments on Gen Z and will change so many things about the phones, learning, socialization, etc from the lessons learned

Trump managed to convince Europeans that they should spend trillions of dollars on new military hardware, while at the same time convincing them that none of that hardware should be American made.
Prior to this, Europe was pretty much locked in to American military hardware. Great businessman.
