Despite ‘bringing it home’ women still don’t qualify
Ryder Cup team beating the Lionesses and Red Roses for Team Of The Year is so eye-rollingly dispiriting. So is no Lionesses in the top three for the main award #SPOTY

Watching the SPOTY the results suggest women are the lowest of the low despite winning a Rugby World Cup in rugby and The European Cup in football. Still men’s golf is way more interesting gals, so do tune in.

Really interesting speech today by new MI6 boss Blaise Metreweli, suggesting a tougher more pro-active focus in the world we’re in now, a grey zone “between peace and war”.

More James Bond than it’s been for a while. Action first.

Bearded Reedlings - a rare sight. They mate for life and females are attracted to males with longer moustaches! Photo taken with zoom lens & cropped. Upsetting to see photographers damaging reedbeds & too close to the birds. Please think about the wildlife and habitat when visiting their home. 🪶

I'll be putting them up all over my area this weekend.

What a disappointment Starmer was today. They have a clear government majority. Four years left to deliver their mandate. But, they choose instead to act like the conference is a hustings! Flag shagging… the R party. They should be promoting positive stuff as the media won’t.
