Been reading this brilliant Ian Penman book and trying to play Satie pieces on the piano. Got me thinking about gigs, and how my preferred home is the tiny nightclub, not the festival or the arena. Satie premiered the Gymnopedies in boho hang-out Le Chat Noir in Montmartre. In 1888 for fucks sake! ❤️

Yikes we did it! Two nights at the MOTH club. Absolutely amazing and beautiful. Huge love and thanks to all who came, and to Rex Horan and our son Blake who joined us. We’ll be back at the MOTH again soon ❤️
