What a wonderful thing to have worked all these years for @vanityfair.com.

Vanity Fair will scale back certain areas of coverage, including shutting down The Hive, to focus on entertainment and culture, editorial director Mark Guiducci said.

I think it's because Drs are taught that 1)hyperparathyroidism is rare (it's not), and 2) that high normal or slightly above normal blood calcium levels in adults can be ignored (it shouldn't be).
When my PTH test came back higher than normal, my PCP was still in disbelief that I had PHPT.
