I continue to believe that the biggest problem with the United States is that our reaction to injustice is to ask "how is this allowed?" instead of "why are we allowing this?"

The first is waiting for a superhero to come and save us. The second is us resolving to join together and save ourselves.

At our Black Community Town Hall this weekend, we made one thing clear: we won’t let the President’s actions deter us from losing sight of what’s important – making sure all Oregonians have access to food, healthcare, and opportunity.

"Love" is a verb, & self-love means sitting w/ sh*t inside us we hate, even when we really, really want to do or take something to numb out. It's not abandoning our "parts" that regularly hold hard sh*t for us, when their burden becomes too much for them to bear alone.

A loaded topic & much to be said

If we don't:
-Learn from & teach all the truth/facts of history
-Strive to make progress from our past
-Hold people accountable (rule of law)
-Stop pushing censorship/agendas/narratives
Etc

We're doomed to repeat the past if we don't acknowledge & do better from it

People living under fascism didn’t survive by giving up joy—they protected it.

They held onto the things fascism tried to erase: art, friendship, jokes, rituals, language, memory.

Not as escapism but as resistance. As proof they were still human.

Joy isn’t frivolous under fascism. It’s strategic.

A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. Please repost if you agree 🌳
