Every time I see some shitbag say “Let kids be kids” to denounce gender affirming care for minors, I think about my torturous days in school. Too crippled with self-hatred at the way my body was betraying me to pay attention in class or make friends. Hiding my dysphoria in an oversized ski jacket.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

I'll also say this outright: I remember people criticizing Code Geass and various modern Gundam shows for the politics being cartoonish, but...uh, real life sure is constantly proving that too many living political leaders and the ultra-wealthy can be both juvenile manchildren and cartoonishly evil.

It's kinda weird celebrating Thanksgiving knowing you are descended from the pilgrims and so the only reason I am here is because of atrocities committed against indigenous people. I found out about my family history recently but I think I'm gonna stop celebrating Thanksgiving

Just so everyone knows come January every single person working for the federal government will no longer have access to gender affirming care through their health insurance. It's not that the health providers have stopped offering it, it's because the Nazis hate trans people.
