It has been a long time since I saw this one, so I immediately watched after listening to your show. You’re completely right, it does go over differently as an adult. I was actually shocked how not cartoonish the Rozhenkos come off. They’re just regular parents worried about their kid.

Just a wonderful Trek episode imo. No Big Sci-Fi Hook, just lots of character moments. The perfect epilogue to the franchise altering Best Of Both Worlds
