The real idiots are the Lexit brigade: fine to be on the left and hate the EU, but you're mental if you trust the Tories to get the best deal for everyone. Instead, they focused on aiming for a low-tax, low-regulation offshore economy which fucks the vast majority. It wasn't exactly rocket science!

Also worth remembering that the Lords repeatedly blocked the Foxhunting Bill in the Blair years and - as I remember it - that's one reason why it got so watered down.

Fox hunting is a revolting sport. It's only survived in any form because it's done by ghastly, entitled, influential and aristocratic people who feel it's the God given right to charge about the place in silly costumes tearing animals apart for no good reason.

Um, no. Even for a newspaper that habitually describes cuts as "reforms", the only objective verb for removing minimal legal protection for asylum-seekers is "weakening"

Most of Ireland's uplands are commonage, ie co-owned by local farmers.
The ONLY real income from commonage is via subsidies, almost always for ecosystem-killing sheep. This is why Irish mountains are all empty wastelands, kept that way by your taxes.
