I’ve served, I’ve been to a lot of sad places. I’ve seen despair and desperation. Anyone who thinks we should just step back and “mind our own business” imo is VERY privileged with a lot of self entitlement. I’ve seen hope in people’s eyes that they never had when they saw the flag on my uniform.

My fear is this kind of reaction from other countries. The sane humans here in the US don't like what he and his buddies are doing, either. We will be left to clean up his messes. Have mercy on those of us who knew who he was to begin with. He's not right.

The thing is, this buys into the divisive rhetoric that has been put out there. I'm hoping that many realize we are all humans no matter your political preference. I'd prefer to forgive for my own peace of mind and health. If you're talking about certain members of his circle, different story...
