It never was democracy. You can't have a democracy when everything is controlled by wealthy elites. Any system that allows small groups of people to horde wealth at the expense of society will never be a democracy. At best they'll be a democracy in name only.

What's the use of democracy if the media is allowed to lie to the public and therefore influence their voting? We have churches that do not pay taxes directly influencing people's votes. And this is what democracy is. It's bullshit. It doesn't work like we're supposed to believe.
