I hate when Superman goes woke and political, like in the sixth panel on the first page of Action Comics #1

Any time I talk about a wealthy person's outfit, someone in the comments is quick to reply: "They're rich, you think they care?" No one has to care about my opinions or clothes, regardless of net worth.

But let's talk about the connection between wealth and aesthetics 🧵

I’m not entirely sure what’s going on, but I’m here for all of this.
Seeing one of Elon’s Cybertrucks burn through the windows of Trump Tower on New Year’s Day must be what it felt like for the Greeks thousands of years ago praying to the gods for a sign the next harvest would be bountiful only to have the sun disappear during an eclipse

This is both funny and disappointing. I suspect there’s more Toshi on the cutting room floor, but that doesn’t make the erasure any less frustrating.
I wrote a review of A COMPLETE UNKNOWN: the brand new Bob Dylan bio pic. And I guarantee you it is totally unlike any other critique of the film that you are ever going to run in to. merrillmarkoe.substack.com/p/a-complete...

There are lots of reasons Democrats lost. But Kamala Harris is not one of them. She is the best of America. Don’t gaslight me into thinking otherwise.
"While pundits have busied themselves over the past 10 days nitpicking Kamala Harris’s campaign, one thing is abundantly clear: She was held to the highest standards of leadership while Trump was held to no standard at all."

Based on the information we have now, young white men were more likely to support Harris than any other age group.

Man-O-Sphere garbage is clearly a problem but Gen X white dudes are more right-wing and far more likely to vote.

Kamala learned she was running for president 6 weeks ago. Since then she’s raised like $700 million dollars, presided over the best run convention I’ve ever seen, picked the perfect running mate, obliterated Donald Trump in a debate, and earned a full-throated, coordinated Taylor Swift endorsement
