It’s exhausting and disheartening and brutally sad, not least of all because fundamentally, it could be a different way. We could build it a different way. But a lot of people who say they’d like that to be true are, themselves, too afraid to believe it’s possible.

btw, this is why marriage equality is meaningful. this is why i balk at people saying it's nothing but privileged cis gays assimilating. trans couples, immigrant couples, couples with kids, couples with assets where one is sick or unwell or dies, couples where somebody needs hospital visiting rights

the BDS requests on microsoft are extremely clear and also targeted. they aren't "uninstall windows now and change your entire life," they aren't even a huge ask for games media outside of like exclusive world of warcraft streamers. there is no reason for the near total silence other than shame
