My husband bought me a Ninja Creami for Christmas and now I can essentially make McFlurries at home, which is both dangerous and delicious

A LOVELY black and white cat was on my drive this morning - a new lad, with proper chubby cheeks. He was doing the “hello pet me” rolls so I went outside to pet him, my cat Jessie came running out and IMMEDIATELY started hissing at him so I guess we can’t have nice things

November’s books included a speedrun through the last Throne of Glass books because I couldn’t get enough, and the phenomenal Metal from Heaven - I cannot stop thinking about it. It was so weird, so lushly written, confusing as hell and yet utterly captivating. Absolutely stunning. #booksky

I’m enjoying the Talamasca tv show but they needed some Brits to check the script because there’s no way you order a pint in a pub and don’t pay for it up front

My October reads include a lot of Batman and a hearty dose of Vampire the Masquerade sourcebooks, thanks to last month’s Humble Bundle. Will I play VtM in the next 12 months? Unlikely, but I love the setting. #booksky

The Mass Effect board game is very fun but each round takes about 3 hours so there’s a reason we’ve only played it twice since Christmas

Some great books in September, as well as some distinctly average. I know everyone loved The Raven Scholar but I thought it was just…okay? But anyway Somewhere Beyond the Sea made me cry happy tears, and I couldn’t put Heir of Fire down. #booksky

I decided to pick up FFVIII again on a whim to play in bed on Switch, and for the most part, it’s been great rediscovering it, but I still do not care about additional card games

Books I read in August! I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on the Vorkosigan saga all this time - just phenomenal stuff. Looking forward to diving into the rest of those at some point. I also hit my reading goal of 60 books for the year already! #booksky

July’s books were (mostly) excellent! This year is the year of Le Guin for me - the big Earthsea reread and catching up on others I missed. The Annals of the Western Shore series is utterly wonderful - well worth exploring if you haven’t before. #booksky

it does not matter how good you make your game’s block/parry system; I will not use it. My defense is “punch more.” I cannot be taught
