I don't know if I can recommend Nakamura's CULT X — there's some stuff near the end that made me really uncomfortable, and that was after multiple scenes involving orgies and sexual assault (simultaneously) — but it's a hell of an epic. Not quite a mystery, kind of a thriller, utterly Japanese.

Watching TRADING PLACES and goddamn, what a great tribute to 1940s comedies. A couple of things aged poorly (even in context, the f slur is aggravating) but it's just a damned showcase for all the actors, especially Murphy and Ackroyd. That fourth wall break KILLS.
