For people outside Minneapolis: North is the historically Black part of the city. It's been heavily disinvested from, gutted by the 2008 mortgage crisis, and got hit by a tornado which did damage you can still see from aerial photos. It's no mistake ICE is going after more vulnerable populations.
i feel for the people of north minneapolis if they’re about to become a protest hot spot from outside the neighborhoods. this is an area often neglected and ignored by even its own elected officials. people not from over north should really be judicious in how they act coming over there

none of us are immune to propaganda or misinformation. i recently unwittingly reposted a story that turned out to be unverifiable & i have seen more fake stories circulating. yet ppl in the comments were stuck on "it feels emotionally true". that is a really dangerous place to be. that's not okay.
