At this point, Democrats should be asking for Mamdani’s endorsement.

When did wearing cycling glasses as a an off-bike fashion accessory become thing, and why haven’t we put a stop to it?

NEW: @nytimes.com reports that the Trump admin is moving to strip hundreds of thousands of immigrants of Social Security Numbers they got when they were granted work authorization, repurposing a "death master file" to try to erase their previous legal presence in the United States.

As silly as it may be, this was one of my first worries when tariffs were floated.

T&T, a Canadian chain of Asian grocery stores, just opened its first store in the U.S. last year, and is the largest store of its kind in WA.

The tariffs will crush their business, like the stores in the article.

Asian grocery stores are a lifeline to the communities they serve. But store owners say the prospect of sweeping tariffs are threatening their ability to stock up on goods and keep prices affordable.

I really wonder if LinkedIn has made finding a job easier or harder bc I’ve been on there since high school and it feels impossible atm.

Part of me thinks it peeled back some level of gatekeeping, but like a lot of social media it’s created its own type of flat world where everyone sounds the same.

Sen. Booker deserves all the flowers for stepping up today.

People need to see someone is trying to fight for them.

During Trumps first term, I was at a rally where Keith Ellison spoke. After his remarks, we briefly chatted and I asked him "why are Democrats so weak on immigration?”

He gave an unsatisfying “we’re not” with little substance as to why and without addressing why I may feel the way that I did.

There needs to be a broader conversation about the failures of Red Bull’s driver program. Helmet Marco was once highly regarded for finding winners, but the record shows they don’t know how to develop drivers to perform at the highest level. #F1Sky

I think the point has been belabored over the last 2 months, but it was never about the “strain” immigrants cause to our system, or squashing criminal enterprise.

This admin at every turn has used immigrants as an example of what happens to those willing to dissent.

The IRS is on the cusp of an agreement with ICE to assist with deportations.

The IRS would use confidential taxpayer information to verify addresses of suspected undocumented immigrants ICE is attempting to locate, @jeffstein.bsky.social & I can report.
IRS nears deal with ICE to share addresses of suspected undocumented immigrants
The move toward information-sharing comes as President Donald Trump pushes his administration to use every resource to conduct what he hopes will be the largest mass deportation of immigrants in U.S. ...

Think college is already too expensive? Republicans would like to make sure it costs just a little bit more by taxing the scholarships you get to help pay for it.
Republicans plan to tax scholarships! So much for lowering costs for families…

People posting in mass, the TikTok popup indicating the temporary shutdown of the app, and thanking President Trump, is exactly the reason why it’s so dangerous we’ve allowed this app to become an information hub for millions.

This is an ad, shaping the public discourse, and misleading the public.

All the wasted time and money just to prove the point that the anti-stadium people have been harping on since the beginning; City Council and the billionaire owners of the 76ers never had the public interest at heart.

Selling out for cheap on the stadium showed council has no value(s). Unseat them.

I snagged this beauty from the Iron Snail drop today, and have no business owning an overbuilt jacket with 3 layers of wool, but I’ll be dammed if I go another winter wearing a sherpa jean jacket.

This green screams PNW, but in the same vein as owning a Subaru in the sports trim.

yes, this is the heart of it. the “legal”/“illegal” distinction did not exist at the time the 14th amendment was written and ratified. if you want birthright citizenship to be restricted to legal immigrants then you need to amend the constitution, simple as that.
At the time the Fourteenth Amendment was passed and Wong Kim Ark was decided, there was no such thing as a legal versus an illegal immigrant. No "originalist" can take the idea birthright citizenship is not conferred upon the children of illegal immigrants seriously.

I’m figuring out what this platform will look like for me, but I see the opportunity to return to the content/engagement that made pre-pandemic Twitter enjoyable.

A nexus of the shared enjoyment of pop culture, menswear, politics, policy, memes you had to be there for, and localized conversations.
