Warnock: He's got a lot of nerve saying that I'm using faith to divide people. This is a man who literally had protesters gassed and beaten down so he could hold up a bible in front of a church.

One thing I like about work is my boss is tough but fair. He'll chew my guts out if I make a mistake, sure.

But, he took the time today to actually call and apologize for accusing me of a mistake that was made by someone else. It was NBD, but not everyone takes that level of ownership!

Just wrapped up a playtest (on Twitch) of Fading Echo and coming out of it convinced our friends at Emeteria are onto something really good.

Add it to your wishlist!

100%. Contrast Knives Out w/ say, Murder on the Orient Express w/ David Suchet (Best Poriot hands down). Great film.

Poirot is the main character: he struggles internally w/ the nature of "justice" in solving that crime.

In the Knives Out movies, we see Blanc, but we don't look inside him!
I think the hardest part of these movies is realizing that Blanc is a supporting character. Marta, Andi, and Jud are our main characters—the outsiders of the institutions that are being dismantled by the murder(s).

Lately, every time I've had a problem w/ another driver, it's somehow always a Tesla.

I hate to typecast, so I can't believe there's some sort of traffic bounty on my head from Tesla Corp.

Got to see Wake Up Dead Man in theaters and I have so many thoughts so I'll try to skeet them as I walk this out. Avoiding spoilers.

So, imo, as a mystery fan, Rian Johnson is providing the genre with a valuable service: a great series.

Going live again with our friends who made Royal's Gambit. We're tearing down face cards, possibly causing mayhem, and listening to a bop of a soundtrack. Why not check out this game recommended by @jadielady.bsky.social and friends?

This is very simple: run 30% inflation and you'll get there in no time.

(No one recommends this approach)

Something to take into account: almost a third of the Cassidy-Crapo bill focuses on surgery for transgender people. It’s barely even trying to conceal how much this bill is about trans people than it is about expanding health care.

Hello Mr. President this is your political consultant speaking I am advising you to please keep posting this shit
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

This entire grift relies on convincing people that they don't know how to do the things they have always known how to do, and ironically, if it works, we will, in a very short amount of time, forget how to do all the things we have always known how to do.

UnitedHealthcare has 40-50m enrollees and their ability to drive down healthcare costs has been - minimal.

It's obvious these people think only in platitudes and not serious policy.
Rand Paul on his healthcare plan: "What if you could join Costco? Costco has 44m members and if one person negotiated for all 44 and they bought a group plan like Toyota or General Motors does, they would be the largest collective entity in the country. They would drive prices down by sheer might."

Monetary policy is a screwdriver; tariffs, immigration rules, and trust in government are nails, pipes, and wiring. If the problem is bad trade policy or lost confidence in the White House, turning the interest‑rate screwdriver harder won’t fix it.

I have been woken up by several smoke detectors chirping at 3 AM.

Admittedly more than once I was so angry I took it off the wall and chucked it in the freezer to muffle the noise, and went back to bed.

This would be nice!

Back last year, I wrote a piece about how Tim Walz and his family’s embrace of Gus offered a template for how parents of neurodivergent kids could embrace their loved ones. Thinking about that now as Trump’s supporters are hurling the r-word at the Walz family.

What anxious parents of neurodivergent children can learn from Tim and Gwen Walz
The Walz family’s words and their embrace of their son may seem utterly unremarkable. But that’s the point.
