Dear Trans Kids,

I'll make you a deal, you fight to stay here and I'll fight along side you.

One day this hate and ignorance will end. One day you'll stop being the scapegoat of the wealthy, powerful, and ignorant, and I want you to be around to see that day.

Having never dipped into my Super Emergency Market Fund before and deciding its value was worth more today than after the ai bubble pop I'm expecting, i still wasn't prepared for the delay between pulling the funds and their arrival.

@peters.senate.gov & @slotkin.senate.gov , what exactly did you get in exchange for selling out the well-being of your trans constituents?

consider my feedback: i loved working at @larianstudios.com until AI. reconsider and change your direction, like, yesterday. show your employees some respect. they are world-class & do not need AI assistance to come up with amazing ideas.

Wild that Merriam-Webster has usurped Time Magazine for accurate annual cultural touch point/social reflection.

Gonna tag in @kibblesmith.com , @rahaeli.bsky.social , and @brooklynmarie.bsky.social just for scale of reach AND the fact that they're often reflecting on these here social networks and I've broken my cardinal rule of not tagging the big accounts for my general musings.
@ironspike.bsky.social , love what you do. Just wanted to ask if you have any perspective on engagement growth on BlueSky. I think it's great that the ill elements of Twitter get starved out, but i can only think of one account I've added during my tenure here—the rest of my network are imports.

At some point, we just have to stop consenting to the authority of sociopaths, right? Like, even I catch myself thinking "at least they can make cold, calculated decisions", but the reason they can do that is because the variables they consider are so much fewer. "How does this benefit just me."

Man, i can't opt out of Ai any harder and they still insist on adding some fucking peeled banana trigger to some unwanted addition to my phone camera.

New! We worked with the Public Interest Research Group to test a bunch of LLM-driven toys ahead of the Christmas. That sexual talking teddy bear wasn't a one-off; it turns out disturbing behavior is deeply built into these toys across the board.
AI toys for kids talk about sex and issue Chinese Communist Party talking points, tests show
New research from Public Interest Research Group and tests conducted by NBC News found that a wide range of AI toys have loose guardrails.

There's a joke here about batteries, I'm sure, but this is genuinely too wholesome to pursue it.

Way to go go, strippers! ❤️

Goddamn, this is compelling.
The most compelling argument for this is that Sam was once a baby raised without ChatGPT, and look how he turned out.
FALLON: “And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

ALTMAN: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

Wild being done with Lego of all things.

I love this idea and it also reminds me of a story. I heard on NPR a decade ago about someone whose family joined a cult for the summer because the food was good and the price of admission was low
So, had an idea for limited seating Indian home cooking club, where:

- Have a small available seating (maybe 10-15people)

- Set up in my backyard in a family table/meal style

- Have a rotating varying menu each session

Hmm... What do we think, LA?
Make the congestion fee $25
this is incredible stuff. most state DOTs would spend tens of billions on highway expansions to try and see numbers like this (that wouldn’t even pan out anyway thanks to induced demand lol)
