In Britain we have a mad system that allows the global price of gas to set the price we pay for our own green energy - from the wind and sun. It’s why our bills remain some of the highest in Europe.

Green energy won’t get energy bills down, Centrica’s Chris O’Shea is right about that - but he doesn’t nail why. It’s not about CFDs for green energy projects. It’s about the price of fossil gas; the boss of Centrica (aka British Gas) must know this.
