Here’s the thing about the tariffs: there will be no “short term pain”. Only long term. Every time a company realizes they can get away with charging you extra they don’t ever lower the price again. They just gouge. Whatever price hikes there are will be here for good.

Senator Cory Booker represents the best of what American leaders have to offer. It is no easy feat to stand and speak for 25 hours. As he said we are not living in a time of normal politics as the country slides into authoritarianism. A time of crisis is a call to action.
