Oleg Monin went from Airsoft games to training with returned Cossack fighters and handling real weapons. Within a year he left school to join BARS-15, a Cossack Volunteer Battalion fighting in Ukraine. Less than four months after deployment, he was dead at 19 — a tragically common timeline.
