Donald Trump’s justice department was hit with legal threats and scathing outrage after authorities released a limited, heavily redacted trove of Jeffrey Epstein files in an apparent violation of the law mandating the near-complete disclosure of these documents by Friday.
“The justice department’s document dump this afternoon does not comply with Thomas Massie and my Epstein Transparency Act,” Ro Khanna, the California Democratic congressman who co-authored the law requiring full disclosure of all Epstein files by 19 December, said in a video statement. I get why people respond to the “legal arguments” for the unitary executive. But since the real theory is obviously “a president I agree with should be above the law, a president I disagree with is even more restricted than the law says,” the “legal” discussion takes place inside a surreal fiction.

I hate that it's gotten this far, but if countries want to counter a US-imposed trade war, they should make Elon Musk's companies a focus of their retaliation.
Those business interests have effectively merged with the US executive branch, and decision-makers value them more than the American people.

I had a feeling when the local sheriff's, police & SHP have been out full force since the deportations were issued; that they'd be going out, looking for & rounding up immigrants for ICE and well... seems I was right.

The TikTok shutdown was voluntary. The Biden Administration took no action against TikTok and said they would leave it to the Trump Administration. This was TikTok working with Trump and a propaganda con. The stupids will fall for it. Hell they are already attacking Democrats.
