the basic belief of virtually all elected republicans is that any vote for a democrat is inherently fraudulent and illegitimate. merely casting a ballot for biden marks that ballot as "fraud" and subject to removal.
If you a House Speaker planning to refuse to accept the results of an election that your candidate lost, this is what you would be saying now to lay the groundwork.

I spent a lot of yesterday talking to lawyers about this (lawyers with lots of expertise in Section 230), and it seems to be melting people's brains. Because more than one person was like "wait, what, that makes no sense" before looking more closely at it and saying... "wait... maybe?"

the other thing is that this “democratic spirit” stuff is just continental bullshit. the president is not some emanation of the general will of people, he is an elected representative, chosen, for the most part, on the basis of who has persuaded the most people and obtained the most votes

Today's attempted scam comes from someone who doesn't know I don't directly deal with Ingram or any other distributor; I have publishers for that. Also they don't know that I know how to use Google Maps, which is how I know that address for "Ingram" is actually for a Staples store.
