You'd have to start with the courts. It's mostly been judges who overturned previous attempts at police reform. No bill passed Congress granting police qualified immunity, no bill passed to say police have no responsibility to stop a guy from stabbing you, and so on. It's all judicial invention.

i do not think that destroying an object is wrong. i think that treating a thing like a person exclusively for the purpose of dehumanizing it is insane behavior.

Some tools are single-use, you destroy them to achieve your goal

You can't destroy a person to achieve a goal

How you treat an AI falls into the realm of tool usage, completely separate from how you treat people, and conflating them is naive

i do not think that nonhuman things have feelings to be hurt but i do think the intent to hurt feelings is bad for a person notwithstanding whether the object of their sadism is real

You locate the local chapter closest to your preferred address and contact the leadership listed on the contact page on the website. I assume they require a functioning law license in the chapter's state, but I'm not a Nazi or a lawyer and have not applied.

This is what I really loved about Twitter - I met so many people there, a lot of very good friends. Some I met only because I barged into a thread to argue in their mentions! I liked those kinds of interactions. Unfortunately, Bsky is a bit too geographically limited to really have the same reach
