I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

An asshole who lives nearby has had all the Trump bullshit, including 2028 flags, in his yard for years. Today I noticed it was all gone and replaced with a single sign that says, “Your vote counts”.

Hard to believe it has been over a month since I was on set for 12 hours covering the evening to early next morning. At times I can still taste the fake blood in my mouth. The indie film community is full of wonderful people and the horror community is among the best around.

My last time on a set was short but a lot of fun. I met a bunch of awesome people, got to hang out with a few I knew, and then went and did my thing. Left the set early the next morning (it was an overnight shoot), grabbed a 35 minute nap, and then headed to the airport.
