Whenever disaster strikes, Trump and his heartless maga cult immediately use it to attack their political opponents. They make up wild conspiracy theories, and lie about recovery efforts. They politicize the victims, and try to distract from the fact they'll do nothing to help them.

Can't wait to watch Mitch McConnell vote in favor of RFK Jr.'s nomination to be the head of HHS along with his lawyer who sued the FDA to revoke the polio vaccine's approval.

Mitch McConnell suffered from polio as a child.

Watch, he'll vote for RFK Jr. anyway.

I have three adult sons. One is a carpenter, one is a soldier, and one is a teacher. All three of them went through an apprenticeship of sorts.

Only one wasn’t paid for his time. Not only was he not paid, but he paid in for the work he performed.

Guess which one?

If Trump had been elected in any European country, there would have been mass protests since the night the election was called. Romania, Georgia, Moldova, they all took the streets to make their voices heard immediately after. They didn't stay silent, they didn't falter.

I think pardons to Fauci and Vindemann are both sensible because (1) there is no plausible suggestion they have committed crimes and (2) the Trumpists have explicitly made them the target of planned political persecutions.
Plus, you know Trump is going to start throwing them out left and right, and would have directed his DOJ to endlessly investigate and prosecute Hunter. Fuck that. Biden should start offering pardons to Vindemann, Fauci, etc. Rob the motherfuckers of any joy.
The answer to “Biden has violated a norm by pardoning Hunter” isn’t “no he hasn’t violated that norm” or “it’s justified to violate that norm” but “BULLSHIT that’s a norm.” In fact, political pardons have been offered by both Republicans and Democrats.

Am I including the 18th century? 19th century? Absolutely.

Because back then many were illiterate and/or never saw much news at all, but in 2024 it was far worse: voters were certain of lies being true.
