Today on @democracynow.org I spoke about my bill, the No Masks for ICE Act, which would prohibit ICE agents from wearing masks while carrying out arrests and detentions.

Federal agents should never hide their identity from the public.

Transparency is fundamental to protecting civil rights.

The judge, Lewis Kaplan, ordered ICE to reduce the number of migrants, ensure they have sleeping mats, and facilitate calls to lawyers.

Awdah Hathaleen, a teacher, father & activist, was shot & killed by an Israeli settler.

The settler was sanctioned by the US for violence in the West Bank, but Trump lifted the penalties.

His murder is the result of US & Israeli policies that enable settler violence. He deserves justice.
