Opinion | Kamala Harris wouldn't have ended healthcare subsidies, levied crushing tariffs, defunded scientific research, deported innocent people, pardoned drug kingpins, or run crypto scams. But she might have made another uninspiring appearance on The View. The voters chose correctly.

A good thought to end the year on.
Here's your daily reminder that Donald Trump is not a king and we will not bow down to him.

Stay strong, get strong, whatever it takes.

Even if you are a cis white male, the current regime will not benefit you in the long run.
Never forget this: The forces undermining our democracy, rigging our economy, polluting our planet, and stoking hatred are counting on you to give up. Cynicism is how they win. We must keep fighting in 2026 and beyond.

2025 was certainly a project...
We made it to the last day of the year, bruised, clearer-eyed, and still standing. We pull the curtain back on Trump’s retribution politics, fraud hypocrisy, MAGA’s internal fractures, and the #Epstein line in the sand. #uspolitics #kakistocracy #authoritarianism

Still mind-blowing that a top admin official was revealed to have taken $50,000 in cash in a paper bag from people looking for government favors, the reaction of the administration was "Whatever losers, this is how it works now" and bigshot news media said "If you say so, we'll forget about it"
Border czar Tom Homan didn't receive a normal background check for his role while his bribery probe was still ongoing:

Justice officials felt sure Homan would not be able to obtain a security clearance based on the evidence gathered. It remains unclear how Homan was eventually granted clearance.
Border czar Tom Homan didn’t receive normal background check during bribery probe
President-elect Trump initially balked at submitting names of likely nominees to the FBI for background checks, a basic step intended to flag possible financial conflicts or ethical problems.

I’ve had these exact thoughts. The pandemic proved we could take care of one another when we wanted to. The oligarchs who control our world immediately understood the needed to divide and conquer us in order to put a stop to it. So far, they seem to be winning the battle for our hearts and minds.
COVID really opened my eyes.

We had two paths ahead of us, and as soon as we took a single step towards THINKING about an equitable world, the rich put their full force into stopping it.

They loath humanity.

I hope we don't lose this cure because we dropped the funding ball.
NIH funded this work—reflecting a surge in Alzheimer’s funding over the last 10-12 years. NIH is the primary funder for AD research.

A team of US scientists just cured Alzheimer’s in mice — and there is now hope that the disease can be reversed in humans.
