Portugal is my home now. I feel the warm embrace of these mountains and trees and rivers and people every day. This country took me in in spite of my ignorance of how to be a good guest. The patience these people have is astounding.

anyway calling these "war plans" when they were actually plans to blow up an apartment building full of civilians because the girlfriend of a guy we don't like lived there sounds more like "terrorism plans" or perhaps even more accurately "terrorism factory creation plans"

Completely organic bottom-up rage against Mike Lawler is pretty unprecedented in the Hudson Valley. None of this is the DCCC. It's all direct citizen action, outrage at Lawler's radical far right politics - and his votes to actively injure his constituents. Fascinating to see.

Look, all the talk of paying for this or that in the budget is smoke and mirrors.
The real question is how many lives will we sacrifice so that a few people can add to their already vast wealth.
Just the homeless? Just poor children? Just Ukrainians? Just LGBTQ? All of us?
