Terrifying new UN report:

"The online-offline violence trajectory represents a vicious and self-perpetuating circle."

"This cycle of violence is even more dangerous when the abuse comes from a man as powerful as the president of the US."

In this age of authoritarians, online abuse of women is soaring – and it's leading to ‘real-world' violence | Julie Posetti
Our UN report reveals the link between the online misogyny and offline crimes that are hounding women out of public life, says Julie Posetti, lead author of a new report published by UN Women

70% of the additional spending from removing the two-child limit will go to families who are in work. This is targeting support for low-income working households who are being priced out of a decent standard of living despite doing everything asked of them.

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

It’s disappointing that we now use “illegal immigration” as a legitimate concern. UK law allows an asylum seeker to enter without legal paperwork. And they make up just 3%. We have always allowed a small number and nothing like other countries. But we processed them faster and allowed them to work.

Isn’t it worth noting too, how ‘extraordinary’ it is for the political figures involved to be held accountable & be fired within a matter of days? Compared, that is, with both the previous UK and current US governments’ conduct?
