I'm very much of the Sam Vimes school of thought towards law. There's nothing inherently noble about "the common people," but since they don't have money or power, the law should protect them from the rich & powerful. Because the law should be there to help balance things.

I remember seeing people online complaining about Luffy not killing his enemies even though Eiichiro Oda addressed that in One Piece Question Corner all the way back in 1998. It wouldn't fit with Luffy's character OR the themes of the series. People's comprehension skills are seriously lacking.

3 and 6 are easily the best of the sequels, IMO.
