just listened to Dr. Drew Weissman’s talk today. Amazing science & his passion on vaccine therapeutics equity touched my heart. I agree that collective advancement of biotechnology by helping other countries to establish their own platform and research facilities will be critical combating dieases

Recently I was evaluated by my therapist to potentially have ADHD which prompted me to get a book to learn more about it. I have never felt so seen.. time collapsing reference and “now or not now” distinction are so true. This is how i feel everyday (especially in the lab) 🫨🫨🫨

Just in NIH grants, It looks like beautiful Iowa City, home of the U of Iowa, will lose $71m in funding. That's almost $1k per resident. And that's before all the other cuts to SSA, FDA, etc.

Anyone in Iowa City that can offer more insight?

Extracellular vesicles (Evs) isolated from post infection ibs-d patients can increase visceral hypersensitivity via gas5/mir-23ab/nmda nrb2 pathway. Blocking gas5 reversed the phenotype. Takeaway: EVs as a messenger and therapeutic vessel for enteric neuropathy
