Very happy to see this paper by my PhD student Leonard Häfner published in @repjournal.bsky.social
Using data from legislator surveys we conducted in Germany and the US, he shows how legislators' conceptions of democracy affect their representation styles.

Pretty strong but also bleak message today by Former General Secretary of the UN Ban Ki-moon at #IPSA2025, says he has "no hope" for current world leaders, calling out nationalism, Trumpism, says we need a new young generation to carry things forward as global citizen.

Does women's descriptive rep. lower anti-gender discourse among far-right? No, it *increases* it (according to parl speech data 2009-2023)
