I think the base assumption tippexing out the ethnicity of an offender was driven by honourable intentions is part of the problem here. We shouldn’t assume those who sought to conceal facts were well intentioned.

Among the targets Israel is destroying are nuclear technologies given to Iran by Russia in return for the vast supply of drones Putin uses to murder Ukrainian civilians. Hopefully the drone factories are next to be flattened.

This whole incident is repellent. Portnoy was too generous in his reaction but that’s what’s too often expected of victims of antisemitism. They have to imagine their persecutors are capable of change in a way we don’t treat other racists. And the antisemites never change. They always do it again.
Awful lot of people on here seem to think Labour’s great error is not pointing out what a failure Brexit has been but Brexit not delivering doesn’t mean those who voted for it don’t still care about the issues that motivated their vote & Labour aren’t exactly delivering on anything.

What strikes me about Kneecap is how much of a product of Corbynism they are. Without Corbyn & McDonnell’s political moment they would never have gained global attention.

Amongst these women were plenty of lawyers with decades of relevant legal experience who calmly & politely explained the law as it stands but were disdained & those who did so never once questioned themselves. Now they are having huge tantrums having discovered the icky middle aged women were right.
'Men have been thwarted; told no by a bunch of largely middle-aged women, the kind they deem past it, irrelevant, good only for domestic duties. The kind that are supposed to be invisible, that remind them of their nay saying mothers. And they are apoplectic.'

Bell just looks like an opportunist now because he’d absolutely would have been amongst the first to revile any Tory who was suggesting these changes. Very much a case of ‘Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others’
