The media is failing to cover the biggest financial threat of our lifetime. The political attack on the Federal Reserve’s independence—now before the Supreme Court—is not a boring policy debate. It's an existential threat to the dollar because it’s a precursor to the de facto default on the national debt. When the firewall of the Fed’s independence falls, there is nothing left to anchor the fiat dollar to reality. Once global trust is broken, the dollar’s value will collapse.
